Here are some campaign ideas for a West End Games D6 Starwars Game:
1. The Lost Ship
Type: Imperial, Rebel or Galactic Republic
Era: Rise of Empire, Galactic Civil War
- The Lost ship is a campaign in which the players are the captain and crew of a capital ship (imperial or rebel alliance.. or possibly Galactic Republic) that finds itself in wild space after a hyperspace mishap that leaves the ship a long way form home without hyperspace maps. The ship must effectively find its way back to the universe proper through a crazy expanse of unexplored wildspace... they will have to deal with ship damage, strange encounters, and so on. (Alternate version is that you have an imperial and a rebel alliance ship both ending up in system and must work togheter to survive and get back home).
2. Intergalactic Salvage Inc
Type: Independent
Era: Rise of Empire, Galactic Civil War or Post-Endor
- The players are the captain and crew of a salvage vessel that roam space and planets for salvage and treasures. The crew get information about possible salvage locations or ancient treasure. Perhaps a ship log that could lead to one of Xim the Despot's treasure ships, an abandoned star destroyer, a lost colony, a hutt secret treasure trove... ect.
3. The Hunters
Type: Independent/Fringe/Bounty Hunter
Era: Rise of Empire, Galactic Civil War or Post-Endor
- The players are all members of a bounty hunter team (so comprised of bounty hunters or something turned bounty hunter (ie: Engineer-bounty hunter, ex-imperial commando-bounty hunter) - either as an independent unit or as part of a small guild. They then get notifications regarding bounties to they can choose to pursue, but they also have to be on the lookout for rival hunters, angry friends of previous bounties and of course the bounties and their allies.
4. The Smugglers
Type: Independent/Fringe
Era: Rise of Empire, Galactic Civil War or Post-Endor
- the players are the captain and crew of a transport ship whom typically operate as smugglers and/or traders. The characters would be templates most associated with that sort of life. They would owe some money to one or more crimelords (possible ship upgrade options that would result in more debt at the start of the game).
5. Rise Of the Rebellion
Type: Independent/Fringe/Rebel
Era: Rise of Empire
- the players are the captain and crew of a transport ship whom typically operate as smugglers and/or traders but also freedom fighters looking to stick it to the empire when ever they can. The characters would be templates most associated with that sort of life. They would owe some money to one or more crimelords (possible ship upgrade options that would result in more debt at the start of the game) and have some rebel ties.
6. The Rebels
Type: Fringe/Rebels
Era: Rise of Empire or Galactic Civil War
- The characters are from various walks of life, find themselves on a isolated planet in the outer-rim when the Empire shows up and subjugates the planet. The characters become rebels in order to escape or liberate their planet (if they are from that planet).
7. The Galactic Civil War Redux - Note: Not your traditional campaign
Type: Imperial and Rebel
Era: Post Empire (alternate)
- Each Player would control a small imperial or rebel faction, they would be given a number of resources, money with which to purchase their forces. They would be given control of a planet. They would be have an officer template, with several points to make them general or admiral quality. Each player would then vie for control of the universe against other player and npcs. In this universe.. the leaders of the rebel alliance died along with emperor/vader.. so it is now the players and some npcs that make up the major figures and the universe is in utter chaos.
More to Come.
